I Shall Survive Using Potions Releases Trailer Featuring Opening Song

The highly anticipated anime series “I Shall Survive Using Potions” released its third trailer on Friday, much to the excitement of fans. The new promotional video showcases the series’ opening theme song titled “tailwind” by katagiri. With the premiere scheduled for October 7, anime enthusiasts are eagerly counting down the days.

Back in July, “I Shall Survive Using Potions” had unveiled its second trailer, which featured the ending theme song “Love is a Potion” by Harmoe. The anime is helmed by director Nobuaki Nakanishi at studio Jumondou, with Takayo Ikami handling the scriptwriting duties. Chisato Kikunagha is responsible for character design, while Hiroaki Tsutsumi takes on the role of composing the music for the series. The talented cast includes Rin Kusumi as Kaoru, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Francette, Moeka Koizumi as Emile, Haruki Iwata as Bell, Natsuki Kitagawa as Layette, and Nao Toyama as Celestine.

“I Shall Survive Using Potions” is an adaptation of the light novel written by FUNA. The novel was initially serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2015 before being acquired by Kodansha in 2017 for print publication, featuring illustrations by Sukima. J-Novel Club holds the license for the English version of the series. In describing the first volume, they share the following synopsis:

“One day, the supervisor in charge of watching over Earth made a mistake that resulted in Kaoru Nagase losing her physical body. As a means of compensation, they reincarnate her into a different, less culturally advanced world. However, Kaoru is not one to accept such a turn of events passively. She makes a demand: the power to create potions with any desired effect at any time, a magical Item Box, the ability to understand and speak all languages, and to have the same body she had as a fifteen-year-old girl. With her newfound powers, Kaoru sets out to establish a stable life for herself in this whole new world.”
